Fire Ban Lifted

Effective May 2nd, 2017, the fire ban is being lifted in the Township of Lanark Highlands. Please ensure that all fires are constantly supervised and properly extinguished.
All burning within the Township requires a permit issued in 2017 and all open air burning permits must be activated by calling 613-259-2398 (ext. 500) or 1-800-239-4695 (ext. 500), or by e-mailing .

Please note that a fire permit is required for all burning within the Township of Lanark Highlands. Permits can be purchased at the Township Office and many stores within the municipality.
Permit activation is required for all open air burning. Please call the number on your fire permit and leave your name, address, permit number and date of burn following the recorded message.

Fire Permits are available at the following locations:

• Fire permits are valid only through the year of issue
• A fire permit is required for all types of fires
• You are required to reactivate your permit for open air burning
FIRE PERMITS REACTIVATION
To reactivate your fire permit you require your fire permit number, name and date of your burn. This information can be left on a recorded message at:

The Lanark Highlands Fire Service is a volunteer department staffed with a full time Fire Chief and over 70 volunteer firefighters across 5 stations.

The fire stations are dispatched by the County Fire Dispatch, located in the Town of Smiths Falls where
9-1-1 emergency fire calls are received.
