Join Us to Celebrate Our New Outdoor AED SaveStation

The Township of Lanark Highlands invites residents and community members to join us on Tuesday, October 13th for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the installation of our new outdoor AED SaveStation at the Municipal Office in Lanark, generously donated by Scott Reid MP, Lanark Frontenac.

The new SaveStation provides 24-hour public access to a life-saving Automated External Defibrillator (AED), ensuring it is available when needed, even when the Municipal Office is closed.

Opening Ceremony
Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: Township of Lanark Highlands Municipal Office, Lanark

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Why 24/7 AED Access Matters

Many AEDs are located inside arenas, offices, community facilities and other buildings, making them inaccessible when those buildings are closed. Cardiac arrest, however, doesn’t follow business hours. It can happen at any time — at a park, on a trail, at a community event or simply while someone is passing by. In a cardiac emergency, quick access to an AED can make a critical difference while emergency responders are on their way.

The Township is grateful for this generous donation, which provides residents and visitors with 24/7 access to an important emergency resource.
