TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Lanark Highlands passed By-Law No. 2026-2029 on May 12, 2026, to amend Zoning By-law No. 2003-451 to allow for the change of zoning of the subject lands from "Rural (RU)" zone to "Rural - Exception (RU-48)" Zone on lands located in Part of Lot 14, Concession 5, geographic Township of Lanark, now in the Township of Lanark Highlands.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any specified person, public body or registered owner may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of By-law No. 2026-2029 by filing with the Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of Lanark Highlands a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law, the reasons in support of the objection and the prescribed appeal fee not later than the 1st day of June, 2026.
No specified person, public body or registered owner shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the specified person, public body or registered owner made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
The EXPLANATORY NOTE on the reverse side of this Notice explains the purpose and effect of the Amendment, and the KEY MAP shows the location of the property which is affected by the Amendment.
A COPY of By-law No. 2026-2029 and additional information regarding the amendment and other relevant background materials are available for inspection by appointment, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays in the Planning Department at the Municipal Building.
