Unofficial List of Candidates – 2026 Municipal Election

The unofficial list of candidates for the 2026 Municipal Election is now available on the Township of Lanark Highlands website.

With the nomination period drawing to a close, anyone considering running for municipal office is reminded that nominations close Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Nomination papers must be filed with the Clerk before the 2:00 p.m. deadline. Nominations cannot be accepted after the deadline.

Following the close of nominations, the Clerk will review and certify the nominations in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. Once this process is complete, the official list of certified candidates will be posted on the Township’s website.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed as we approach the 2026 Municipal Election.
