“Bestselling Lanark County author, Peggy Blair, will launch CRIME FOR CHRISTMAS, a collection of 12 short stories for the 12 days of Christmas by 12 of Canada's best mystery authors, at the Ashton Pub on Saturday, November 21. There's nothing like sitting in a cozy pub with a craft beer as snow falls outside, listening to an author read from a book that delivers some of the best crime fiction available, with a sprinkle of Christmas cheer."
“Peggy’s story involves a John Doe whose body is found on the boundary between Lanark and the City of Ottawa, requiring the OPP and the city police to work together to try to figure out why he's dressed like Santa. There are several scenes set in the Ashton Pub, and Patty, the manager of the pub in real life, has a cameo role. The launch is a great opportunity for people to pop around and chat with a local author, grab a beer and a book, and get some Christmas shopping done at the same time!”
Location: Ashton Pub, 113 Old Mill Road, on Saturday November 21
