Backyard Composting
Backyard composting is a simple way to turn food scraps and yard waste into a nutrient-rich soil amendment for gardens and lawns. Instead of sending organics to landfill, residents can compost at home and create a useful product right in their own backyard.
Why Compost?
Composting can help households divert 30-50% of their waste while producing a free natural fertilizer for gardens and landscaping. It is an easy step residents can take to reduce their environmental footprint at home.
Composting reduces landfill waste, lowers greenhouse gas emissions, and supports a more sustainable waste management system.
