The Township of Lanark Highlands is reviewing a proposed Fence By-law to establish clear and reasonable standards for fences across the municipality.

The draft considers fence height, location, materials, safety and maintenance, while recognizing the rural character of our community. It also promotes a good neighbour approach, encouraging property owners to consider the impact of fence construction on neighbouring properties.

The By-law is still in draft form, and we want to hear from you. Review the proposed By-law and share your feedback to help inform the final version that will be presented to Council for consideration.
