Crossing Guard Job Description and Application
The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking applications from qualified individuals for
the position of seasonal Crossing Guard.
Under the direction of the Fire Chief, the Crossing Guard is responsible for assisting
school children at designated street crossings during hours when children are going to or
coming from school.
Qualifications include:
- Experience working with the public
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
This position is scheduled as per the school year calendar, Mondays to Fridays.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector police
check. The wage rate of $17.20 to $19.93 per hour will be based on experience, as per
the current Collective Agreement.
