PARKS & RECREATION OPERATOR
Temporary Full-Time
Salary Range: $25.53 - $31.65
(Depending on Experience)
The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking a skilled individual to join our Parks and Recreation team as a Temporary Full-Time Parks and Recreation Operator.
In this role, you will operate heavy equipment including snow clearing in winter. Responsibilities include grass cutting, maintaining ball diamonds, routine garbage removal, and operating and maintaining large equipment. For the arena, you will be responsible for driving and maintaining the Zamboni, performing ice maintenance, operating the ice edger, and conducting general cleaning, carpentry, and plumbing tasks. Work must be performed in all weather conditions to ensure park readiness and safety.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and relevant certifications, along with 1-3 years of related municipal experience. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, along with physical fitness to perform tasks in various weather conditions.
