COW and Council Meetings - 22 September 2026

The Township of Lanark Highlands will hold its regular Committee of the Whole and Council meetings on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Office, 75 George Street, Lanark.

The evening meetings will begin with the Public Meeting for the Comprehensive Zoning By-law at 6:00 p.m. The Planner will share the red-line draft and outline the proposed changes to the zoning by-law. The public will also be invited to share their perspective. 

The Committee of the Whole meeting will begin immediately following the public meeting, followed by the regular Council meeting.

• Delegation from a resident concerning Road Safety at Concession 12C

• Communications related to the former Tatlock Fire Hall, Conservation Authority amalgamation, recreation study, Municipal Accountability Act, and property concerns on Highway 511 in Hopetown

• Report on the Draft Community Risk Assessment

• Report on proposed increase to Ice Rental Rates for 2027 

• Approval for a grant submission to the Rural Ontario Development Program 

• Presentation of the draft 2027 Council Meeting Schedule

• Council and Committee Appointment Updates

• CAO Update on Staffing and the 2026 Municipal Election
