COW and Council Meetings - 25 August 2026

The Township of Lanark Highlands will hold its regular meetings of the Committee of the Whole and Council on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Office, 75 George Street, Lanark. The Committee of the Whole meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the regular Council meeting.

Items on the Committee of the Whole agenda include:

• Presentation from KPMG LLP on the 2025 audit results and audited financial statements.
• Presentation from the County of Frontenac on communal water and wastewater services.
• Communications received, including updates and correspondence on the Municipal Environmental Assessment regulation, ALTO project, Citizenship Award, and Ontario Land Tribunal review.
• Report on the proposed purchase of a boat, motor, trailer and safety equipment from Building Code Administration Reserves to support enforcement of the Ontario Building
• Code on waterfront properties.
• Report on a draft Fence By-law, including next steps for community consultation and legal review.
• Financial update to July 31, 2026.
• Report on levy funding for capital to support future service-level decisions.
• Council and committee appointment updates
• CAO updates on recruitment, the 2026 Municipal Election, grants, and the Comprehensive Zoning By-law open house and public meeting.
