Provincially Mandated Facilities Closure

The Township of Lanark Highlands has decided to extend the closure of all facilities in accordance with the Provincial lockdown requirements. This closure will remain in place until such time they are permitted to open in compliance with Provincial and Local Health Unit requirements.

 
This applies to the following facilties;
• The Lanark Highlands Municipal Office
• The Lanark and District Community Centre (Arena)
• The Lanark Highlands Public Library
• McDonald’s Corners Re-Use Centre
• All Lanark Highlands Community Centres
 
In accordance with the Province’s direction, all Township staff who can work from home, will be working from home. This should not significantly impact the public in any way. There may be associated communication delays, but rest assured that customer service is our first priority. 
 
The Lanark Highlands Building Department will not be issuing building permits at this time, and until further notice. Any permits issued, or construction started prior to January 12th, 2021 will continue as usual.
 
Staff stand ready to serve you via telephone or email Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. If you have a tax payment, there is a mail slot available at the front of the office deposit a cheque or cash payment. Other payment options may be arranged, such as preauthorized payment or through your financial institution.
 
While we understand that this situation is not ideal for everyone, we do look forward to the next time that we are able to serve you in person. Stay tuned for more updates as they are made available.
