A Water Safety Statement is to provide notice of high flows, unsafe banks, melting ice or other factors that could be dangerous for recreational users such as anglers, canoeists, hikers, children, pets, etc. Flooding is not expected. On June 26, 2024, the County of Lanark approved the Township’s new updated Official Plan. The process started in May 2021 and represents the culmination of 18 months of public input. The updated Official Plan brings the Township into compliance with the PPS 2020, only the second such municipality in Lanark County.
