Request for Tender for Maintenance Gravel

This Tender is an invitation by the Corporation of the Township of Lanark Highlands to prospective Bidders to submit a bid for MAINTENANCE GRAVEL.

The Township of Lanark Highlands covers an area of approximately 1,048 square kilometres, representing approximately 35% of the land base of Lanark County. The Township features picturesque vistas of rolling hills and Canadian Shield topography, a geology that creates the perfect terroir for maple syrup production. The Township consists of five (5) former Townships: Lavant, North Sherbrooke, Dalhousie and Lanark in addition to eight (8) hamlets: Hopetown, Middleville, Poland, Lavant, Flower Station, Elphin, Watson’s Corners, McDonald’s Corners and the main Village of Lanark. Abundant water bodies and beaches make for prime cottage country and seasonal dwellings.

The Township currently maintains approximately 350 km of gravel roads (many of which are seasonal), 20 km of asphalt roads and 90 km of surface treated roads which meander through hills, valleys and around water bodies.
The tender is for a two (2) year contract for MAINTENANCE GRAVEL throughout the Municipality between 2025 and 2026, with two (2) optional one (1) year extensions (2027 and 2028).
