The Clerk fulfills the statutory duties in accordance with the Municipal Act and other Acts and Regulations and oversees the preparation of Council and Committee of the Whole agendas and the recording of resolutions and by-laws and/or activities held at the Committee of the Whole and Council meetings. The Clerk conducts municipal elections and oversees the issuance of various licenses and maintenance of the corporate records and is the Township’s Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) Co-Ordinator.

The ideal candidate will have a University Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Business Administration or related field in coordination with five years of progressively responsible experience in a municipal Clerk’s Department, with two years’ experience at a supervisory or management level, or equivalent. The Township may consider a comparable combination of education and experience.

compensation of $100,873.50 - $118,677.00, 37.5 hours per week, plus an excellent benefits package including the OMERS pension plan.
