The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking a qualified person to fill the full-time permanent position of Planner. Reporting to the Manager of Planning and the Clerk, the Planner assists the Township’s Planning Consultant with services delivered by the Planning Department, including public inquiries regarding development, the preparation of professional planning reports, presentations to the public and Council, and oversight of the Planning Act approval process.  

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in Land Use Planning or a related field, or equivalent experience as recognized by the Ontario Professional Planning Institute (OPPI), hold membership, or be eligible to obtain membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners/OPPI, and be a Registered Professional Planner (RRP) with land use planning experience, preferably in a municipal setting.
