The Township of Lanark Highlands is seeking a qualified professional to join our Management Team to fill the full-time position of Treasurer. This opportunity arose due to an upcoming retirement.
Reporting to the CAO, the Treasurer is responsible for the management of the corporate financial services of the Township. The Treasurer manages the general accounting requirements of the Corporation and the overall Finance Department. This position provides professional opinions, advice, and guidance to the CAO and Council regarding revenue optimization, control of expenditures, purchasing guidelines, investments, short and long-term financing, insurance coverage and asset management. The Treasurer supports the CAO in the administration of the collective agreement and human resource management and delivers timely and reliable financial information and innovative strategies to ensure the management and delivery of services required to achieve the Township’s strategic priorities.
