LANARK COUNTY OPP DETACHMENT WEEKLY NEWS

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, February 1, 2021 and Monday, February 8, 2021 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 298 calls for service. 

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total: 34        

Car / Deer:1

Parking Lots: 2

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 12

Vs MSV: 1

Domestic Incidents

On February 6, 2021 a 26yr old resident of Mississippi Mills was charged with one count each of assault and assault causing bodily harm as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 29, 2021.

The Lanark County OPP also investigated 10 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.

Thefts

Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 9 theft complaint during the past week.

Mischief

The Lanark County OPP investigated 1 complaint of mischief/property damage this past week.

Frauds

The Lanark County OPP investigated 9 reports of fraud during the past week.
