Due to the Environment Canada issued Orange Warning for a significant freezing rain event; the Township of Lanark Highlands, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02 Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways, is declaring a Significant Weather Event effective Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, at 6:00 am.
This declaration suspends the standard timelines required for the Township to meet their winter maintenance standards.
Township of Lanark Highlands Public Works crews will continue to prioritize resident safety, but it may take longer than usual to maintain Township roadways and sidewalks.
An update will be provided once the declaration has ended.
