As per Regulation 239/02 of the Municipal Act 2001, the Township of Lanark Highlands is declaring a Significant Weather Event effective Friday, January 9th, 2026 from approximately 8:00 a.m.
This declaration suspends the standard timelines required for the Township to meet their winter maintenance standards until the significant weather event has ended.
Please note that our Public Works crews will continue to prioritize resident safety, but that it may take longer than usual to maintain Township roadways and sidewalks.
An update will be provided once the declaration has ended.
Residents are encouraged to avoid any unnecessary travel for the duration of the significant weather event.
