The Township of Lanark Highlands is currently accepting applications for the 2026 Municipal Grants Program.
Grants are awarded to local projects and programs that enhance the life experiences of citizens and the community.

OPEN – The latest bacterial test of the water indicated acceptable levels of bacteria and can be used for swimming and other recreation purposes.
CAUTION – The water is not recommended for swimming. The latest bacterial tests of the water indicated unacceptable levels of bacteria.
CLOSED – DO NOT USE The beach is closed for recreational use due to an identified health hazard/condition that makes the beach unsafe for use.
N/A – Results are not available.
The beach results are updated once weekly throughout the summer season.
While the Health Unit strives to alert swimmers when conditions are not suitable for swimming, the public must be aware that conditions may change, and that there is always a level of risk when swimming in untreated water.
Think about factors that may affect the quality/safety of the water before you visit a local beach (heavy rain in the area within 24 hours and water fowl droppings in the water/on the beach may contribute to high bacteria levels).

Celebrate Canada Day in Lanark Highlands!
Join us on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Clyde Park Baseball Diamond for a fun-filled day of activities and celebrations, including the grand reopening of the newly refurbished baseball diamond thanks to a generous grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).
Schedule of Events:
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Morning Yoga Session - Start your day with relaxation and mindfulness.
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Moose Hunt - A fun activity for kids to search for cut-out moose with prizes for the winners.
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Three-Legged Races and Relays - Enjoy classic field day games suitable for all ages.
12:00 PM: Bike Parade - Decorate your bike and join the community parade.
12:00 PM - 2:45 PM: Canteen Open - Grab some snacks and refreshments from the canteen run by our hardworking students.
2:50 PM - 3:00 PM: OTF Ceremony & Remarks - Reeve Peter McLaren will deliver remarks and introduce the ceremonial first pitch to celebrate the grand opening of the newly refurbished baseball diamond.
⚾ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Baseball Game - Enjoy a friendly baseball game at the newly refurbished Clyde Park Baseball Diamond.
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Cake Cutting Ceremony - Join us for the cake cutting.
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Evening Activities - Enjoy cotton candy for sale and a bouncy castle for kids.
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Live Band Performance - The Manson Family band will play live music to entertain the crowd.
9:00 PM - Dusk: Fireworks Preparation
Dusk: Fireworks Display - End the day with a spectacular fireworks show to celebrate Canada Day.
