(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, August 29, 2022 and Monday, September 5, 2022 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 449 calls for service. 

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Impaired Driving

On August 30, 2022, David JETTE, age 40 of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a traffic stop on Ottawa Street in Almonte. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice is Perth on September 26, 2022.

On September 2, 2022, Lenord McDONALD, age 58 of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, was charged with operation while impaired -blood alcohol concentration over 80, operation while impaired -alcohol and drugs and Fail to comply with release order as the result of a traffic complaint on Richmond Road in Beckwith Township. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 3, 2022.

On September 2, 2022 Timothy WARNER, age 53 of the Town of Smiths Falls, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 7. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 10, 2022.

On September 3, 2022 Chandler ALLEN, age 26 of the City of Ottawa, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 as the result of a motor vehicle collision on Appleton Side Road in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 17, 2022.

Domestic investigations

On August 29, 2022 a 29 year old resident of the City of Ottawa was charged with two counts of spousal assault and one count of assault with a weapon as the result of a domestic investigation in the Town of Carleton Place. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on September 26, 2022.

On August 30, 2022 a 36 year old resident of the Town of Carleton Place was charged with one count of spousal assault and one count of domestic mischief as the result of a domestic investigation in the Town of Carleton Place. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on October 3, 2022.

On August 31, 2022 a 31 year old resident of Drummond-North Elmsley Township was charged with one count of spousal assault, two counts of domestic mischief and one count each of mischief under $5000 and failing to comply with probation order. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The Lanark County OPP investigated 11 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.
