LANARK COUNTY OPP DETACHMENT WEEKLY NEWS

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, February 14, 2022 and Monday, February 22, 2022 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 295 calls for service. 

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total:  42  

Vs Deer: 3

Parking Lots: 1

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 15

Domestic investigations

On February 18, 2022 a 42yr old resident of the Town of Carleton Place was charged with three counts each of spousal assault and assault with a weapon and two counts of uttering threats as the result of a domestic investigation in Carleton Place. The accused was held for a show cause hearing.

The Lanark County OPP also investigated 7 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.

Thefts

Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 4 theft complaints during the past week.

Frauds

The Lanark County OPP received 7 reports of fraud this week.
