LANARK COUNTY OPP DETACHMENT WEEKLY NEWS

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, February 21, 2022 and Monday, February 28, 2022 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 299 calls for service. 

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total:  38  

Vs Deer: 2

Parking Lots: 5

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 15 (snowstorm Feb 25)

Vs Pedestrian: 1

Domestic investigations

On February 27, 2022 a 35yr old resident of the Town of Carleton Place was charged with one count of criminal harassment as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 28, 2022.

The Lanark County OPP also investigated 12 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.

Thefts

Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 7 theft complaints during the past week.

Frauds

The Lanark County OPP received 7 reports of fraud this week.
