LANARK COUNTY OPP DETACHMENT WEEKLY NEWS

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, January 11 2021 and Monday, January 18, 2021 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 283 calls for service. 

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total: 28        

Car / Deer: 7

Parking Lots: 3

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 15

Domestic Incidents

On January 11, 2021 a 69yr old resident of Perth was charged with one count of failing to comply with an undertaking as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on February 22, 2021.

On January 12, 2021 a 19yr old resident of Mississippi Mills was charged with two counts of assault as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 22, 2021.

On January 17, 2021 a 46yr old resident of Beckwith Township was charged with one count of assault as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on February 22, 2021.

On January 17, 2021 a 64yr old resident of Tay Valley Township was charged with two counts of assault and one count of uttering threats as the result of a domestic investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 1, 2021.

The Lanark County OPP also investigated 10 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.

Thefts

Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 6 theft complaints during the past week.

Mischief

The Lanark County OPP investigated 4 incidents of mischief and/or property damage during the past week.

Frauds

The Lanark County OPP investigated 3 reports of fraud during the past week.
