LANARK COUNTY OPP DETACHMENT WEEKLY NEWS

(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday, March 15, 2021 and Monday, March 22, 2021 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 348 calls for service. 

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Total:       21

Car / Deer: 8

Parking Lots: 3

Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 5

Domestic Incidents

The Lanark County OPP investigated 9 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.

Thefts

Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 7 theft complaints during the past week.

Frauds

On March 17, 2021 Christopher BLASKO, age 19 of no fixed address, was charged with two counts each of theft of credit card and identity theft – possess another persons identity information, and one count each of possession of property obtained by crime and obtain credit by fraud as the result of an investigation which began on March 15. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The Lanark County OPP investigated 4 reports of fraud during the past week.
